City Rail Link is a major transport and city transformation project in Auckland City Centre. Just Add Lime was engaged to lead communications and engagement for Te Waihorotiu Station during the transition from City Rail Link Ltd to the Link Alliance delivery team at a time when concern about disruption from construction projects was high. The new Link Alliance team needed to establish itself quickly while maintaining confidence and continuity with stakeholders.

Just Add Lime provided an experienced, ready-to-go communications and engagement team, giving both the client and stakeholders continuity during the transition. Working alongside Te Waihorotiu Station team we provided support for construction functions: facilitating access, communication, and problem solving through proactive and responsive neighbour engagement. We held drop-in information sessions and established regular communications and engagement activities for the project.

Our involvement gave the new Station team breathing room to establish its wider communications and engagement function without losing momentum or stakeholder relationships on the ground. We transitioned ourselves out by training and supporting the incoming station communications and engagement team, ensuring knowledge and relationships were transferred, enabling them to confidently navigate the complex stakeholder environment.
